Awareness Relaxation and Meditation
In this Introductory Session, you will learn and experience the importance of breath and body awareness for the purpose of relieving and releasing stress from your body and your mind.
Teach yourself to feel and be calm for the purpose of relaxation and rejuvenation. You can not be in a state of panic/chaos when you feel calm.
These techniques will assist you with increased focus and energy. It has been proven that physiological changes in the body and the mind occur during meditation and relaxation.
Bring an Open Mind, a light blanket and a bottle of water. A journal if you use one.
Handouts will be provided.
Classes are held Tuesday evenings
7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

About the Instructor
Kimberly Ryan has been conducting meditation for relaxation sessions since 1997. She facilitates a weekly "meditations of discovery" group that has been active since 1998 and has designed and teaches a ten week course at Fanshawe College on relaxation techniques.
Kimberly draws on her experience of twenty years in social work as well as her personal experiential work since 1990. She has facilitated groups as well as individual meditation sessions since 1997 and offers presentations to community groups and organizations. Kimberly has a B.A. from U. of W. (focus on religious studies) (1997), Social Services Diploma (1979), Reiki Level II (1998). Meditation Scripts and Tapes are available.
